About Sydney
Hi! I’m Sydney. I am a Professional Counselor Associate with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Oregon University.
As your counselor, my role is to support and guide you on your mental health journey. Whether it feels like an adventurous road trip, a trek through a jungle or swamp, or a peaceful stroll, I’ll be there to help you navigate the path. Along the way, I’ll point out meaningful landmarks—moments of growth, insight, and self-discovery—while providing a space where you can feel all your emotions, express yourself, and explore who you are and who you want to become.
I believe you are the expert in your own life and deserve a space that is fully focused on you. My approach is person-centered. I often use cognitive behavioral therapy and integrate other techniques (including play therapy, sand tray therapy, motivational interviewing, narrative therapy, and others) to best support your unique needs.
Outside of counseling, I love being creative. I call myself a “hobby hopper” because I have too many hobbies to count—wood burning, sculpting, jewelry making, and painting, just to name a few! I also find peace at Oregon’s beaches, especially when I can search for shells and agates. Most of all, I cherish time with my husband and our dog.
