About Catie

Hi, I’m Catie (she/her), a Professional Counselor Associate and Provisional Art Therapist. I work with children, adolescents, young adults, and caregivers navigating grief, loss, anxiety, identity exploration, trauma, chronic and acute illness, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade working as an educator and artist, experiences that continue to shape my approach to therapy. I believe in meeting people where they are, building on their existing strengths, and creating a space that feels collaborative, supportive, and grounded in trust. My clinical training includes work in a pediatric hospital, a cancer healing program, and a grief support center, where I supported individuals and families navigating serious illness, loss, and major life transitions.

My approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, and tailored to each client's unique needs and goals. I draw from solution-focused, narrative, mindfulness, art therapy, and social justice-oriented perspectives, and may incorporate visual art, play, and creative expression alongside traditional talk therapy. As a queer clinician, I strive to create a space where clients feel welcomed and respected in showing up as themselves. My goal is to help clients better understand their experiences, feel more resourced in navigating challenges, and cultivate greater connection to themselves, their values, and the supports available to them.
