About Lila
Hi there! My name is Lila. I received my Master of Social Work from Washington University in my hometown of St. Louis, where I specialized in mental health on a child behavioral health track. I have since moved to Oregon and have fallen in love with the state! I am passionate about working with kiddos from infancy through late elementary school age.
I believe that every child deserves to be understood within the full context of their experiences, relationships, strengths, and identities. My approach is grounded in the understanding that children do not exist in isolation. Using various play therapy techniques, along with specific skills in Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Children and Adolescents and Motivational Interviewing, my goal is to connect with children by understanding them holistically.
I am passionate about incorporating play into the therapeutic process, recognizing it as a child's natural language for communication, expression, and healing. I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where children can explore their emotions, develop coping skills, and build confidence through developmentally appropriate interventions. I look forward to working collaboratively with children and their families to foster resilience, strengthen relationships, and support meaningful growth.
