About Josef
My name is Josef (pronounced 'normally' - feel free to call me Joe!) I am a Master's of Social Work (practicing as a CSWA), QMHP-R and a CADC-R with experience working with justice-involved, neurodivergent, and many other clientele. I have a passion for trauma work, client-centered and trauma-informed practice; and center client comfort and security without sacrificing trust and accountability. I primarily practice from a psychodynamic and CBT-focused lens, but I also incorporate tools from additional methodologies as needed. I believe in the philosophy of a therapist being a 'prism' for clients, rather than a directive leader - an aide in helping clients reframe their own experiences and goals.
I enjoy spending time outside hiking and camping, watching movies, listening to music, and being bothered by my cat. I strongly value humor and laughter for their healing properties both in and outside of the office.
