Eastside Child and Family Therapy offers play therapy, individual therapy  and family/parenting support via in a school or via tele-health  platform. We focus on the family at the center and work together to attain the balance and peace each family is looking for.

Neurodivergent affirming, with knowledge and understanding of Autism and ADHD are a Plus. Willingness to be trained is preferred. 

​

  • Currently seeking a Counselor who is trained in play therapy willing to work with children after school in our Gresham office from 3pm to 8pm M-Th. Seeking full-time 20-24 client hours per week (hours/days/in person & telehealth flexible, ability to work Saturdays if preferred)

  • Currently seeking a School Based Counselor trained in play therapy to work in a Montessori school based setting. 2-5 days per week 15 to 24 client hours (position has flexibility for hybrid of in person and telehealth) 2-3 positions to be filled with our 1st through 6th graders, Preschool to Kinder, and 7th and 8th graders.

A qualified candidate would be someone who is: Comfortable working with youth and families, LGBTQIA+ competent, social justice minded, Neurodivergent affirming and ready to join a collaborative, growing team. Therapists may have the option to  complete telehealth sessions in a work-from-home setting, if confidentiality and privacy can be ensured.

​ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

  • Provides mental health therapy services to assigned caseloads, including phone consultations, scheduling, session facilitation, documentation, case  management. 

  • Attends staff meetings as scheduled and/or needed. 

  • Meets and maintains applicable requirements for relevant mental health  license including continuing education and/or supervision. - Networks and maintains professional relationships with community  members and referral sources. 

  • Complies with policies and procedures for Eastside Child and Family  Therapy. 

  • Maintains shared office and facility spaces as appropriate.

  • May contribute to blogging, social media, and other business tasks as  interested and assigned. 
     

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Masters Degree or Doctoral Degree in applicable mental health field (ex:  Masters in Counseling, Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy, Masters  of Social Work) 

  • Active, unrestricted license in the State of Oregon. A copy of your license  must be supplied to Eastside Child and Family Therapy upon request - Align with Eastside Child and Family Therapy’s mission, vision, and  values. 

  • Must be punctual in reporting to work 

  • Available to hold Full or Part time sessions at least 15-24 client sessions/ week over a minimum of 2-4 days/week, provided such sessions are  available and scheduled by Eastside Child and Family Therapy.

  • Be organized and detail oriented. 

  • Be a collaborative team member. 

  • Be able to work independently and complete tasks as assigned. 

  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills and strong  interpersonal skills. 

  • Possess skills to complete necessary work functions, including familiarity  navigating GSuite and Simple Practice electronic health records. - Have at least one niche market for mental health services (ex: children, teens, trauma, anxiety, grief, perinatal, Neurodivergent affirming, etc.) 

  • Be willing to provide any information necessary to complete insurance  credentialing.

 

YOUR ROLE: 

To work in a school based setting, in an office based setting in Gresham, Oregon, via telehealth or a hybrid of both or all three.  To provide family, individual and/or group therapy, interview clients and families and develop a comprehensive psychosocial assessment of new clients. Responsible for the development and maintenance of the treatment plan and incorporating and integrating assessment data from other professionals and caregivers involved in the client’s care. Provide therapeutic consultation to the client’s cooperating systems (school, family, legal, etc.) Participate with other treatment team members in developing, coordinating and facilitating community based support systems and services for families. Provides conflict resolution and crisis intervention assistance to families and clients as needed.
