About Mikayla

Hello!

I'm Mikayla and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I also hold a Masters in Social work, Certificate in Leadership in Criminal Justice, and a diploma in therapeutic life story work. I am passionate about working with people with intellectual or developmental disabilities across the life span, having professionally worked with this population for 10 years. I enjoy working with children and families and working as one team to meet goals. I enjoy serving my community and finding ways to connect with each client on an individual level. I have experience in fields including forensic social work, counseling, program management, hospital social work, and teaching in a local college mental health program. 

I work from a person-centered trauma-informed framework utilizing several therapeutic approaches based on what best fits your needs and goals. I value a collaborative client centered approach that builds on the strengths and resilience of each individual client. I value education and professional development to ensure I provide the best evidence based care.

In my free time you can find me catching wins at Disney trivia, reading a good book, or playing board games with my husband.

Mikayla is currently in network with OHP/Care Oregon, Kaiser & Pacific Source insurances. We bill out of network plans as a courtesy to our clients. Please check our contact page to see if your plan offers out of network benefits. Mikayla also accepts private pay; offering a 25% discount for same day payment as well as a sliding scale for all other clients.
