About Mikayla

Hello! My name is Mikayla and I hold a Master of Social Work degree, a Certificate in Leadership in Criminal Justice, and a diploma in therapeutic life story work. I am passionate about working with people with intellectual or developmental disabilities across the life span, having professionally worked with this population for 10 years. I enjoy working with children and families and working as a team to meet therapeutic goals. I enjoy serving my community and currently volunteer on the Board of Directors for The Arc of Oregon. I have previously worked in fields including forensic social work, counseling, program management, hospital social work and education at the college level. 

I work from a person-centered trauma-informed framework utilizing several therapeutic approaches when working with client. I value a collaborative client centered approach that builds on the strengths and resilience of each individual client. I value education and professional development to ensure I provide the best care for clients.

I love forward to walking along side clients in their therapeutic journey!

Mikayla is currently able to see clients with OHP/Care Oregon insurance. Mikayla also accepts private pay; offering a 25% discount for same day payment as well as a sliding scale for all other clients.
